서욱, 14일 워싱턴DC서 SCM 참가<br /><br />South Korea's new Defense Minister will visit the Pentagon next Wednesday to participate in the bilateral Security Consultative Meeting.<br />The planned visit will be Suh Wook's first overseas trip as defense chief.<br />The allies are expected to discuss the security situation of the Korean peninsula, the conditions-based transfer of wartime operational control from Washington to Seoul... and their combined defense posture.<br />Suh and his U.S. counterpart Mark Esper also held phone talks Thursday... reaffirming the importance of strengthening the two countries' alliance.<br />
