노벨평화상에 세계식량계획...코로나19 와중 기아에 대항<br /><br />The World Food Programme won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to combat hunger amid the COVID-19 outbreak.<br />The Nobel Committee hopes to (quote) "turn the eyes of the world towards the millions of people who suffer from or face the threat of hunger".<br />In announcing the prize, it highlighted the WFP's contribution to improving conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas.<br />The global body is the UN's food assistance branch, and currently provides food to over a hundred million people a year.<br />
