북, 열병식에서 '다탄두' 추정 신형 ICBM•SLBM 공개<br /><br />Our starting point on this Sunday lunch time: North Korea unveils new ballistic missiles during its huge, annual military parade.<br />Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Ruling Worker's Party, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un delivered a speech that was unprovocative and with no mention of the U.S.<br />There was also a rare glimpse of his emotional side while addressing some of the hardhips the regime has endured throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />Our Han Seong-woo has more.<br />North Korea on Saturday unveiled its new intercontinental ballistic missile, which could be capable of holding multiple warheads...according to experts.<br />On Saturday, the regime showcased its new weapon at the 75th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Workers' Party,... marked as tradition goes with a large-scale military parade.<br />The new weapon is believed to be an upgraded and enlarged version of the Hwaseong-15 missile, which experts say may be able to reach the U.S.<br />Also on display was a new type of submarine-launched ballistic missile.<br />Presiding over the event was leader Kim Jong-un whose speech was mostly unprovocative with no mention of the U.S.<br />"I do not want our military might to be aimed at anyone. I stress that the purpose of our war-deterrence efforts is self-defense."<br />In a rare show of emotion, the leader shed a few tears, addressing the many hardships North Korea has had to face throughout 2020...and thanked his people for their unwavering support.<br />"One cannot help but shed tears of gratitude seeing the patriotism and heroics of the People's Army in defending the nation against the virus and natural disaster."<br />The head of state also left words of encouragement for South Korea, revealing hopes of restoring their recently strained relationship.<br />"To my beloved compatriots in the South, I look forward to firmly holding hands with you once again as soon as this health crisis has been overcome."<br />Despite the world's media speculating that the regime has been struggling with the pandemic, Kim also told those present that nobody in North Korea has fallen victim to COVID-19.<br />Han Seong-woo, Arirang News.<br />
