프랑스 대사, 고종의 수교 예물 '살라미나 병' 관람<br /><br />The French ambassador to South Korea, Philippe Lefort on Friday visited the National Palace Museum of Korea...to see a rather special item on display.<br />A gold-colored, ceramic vase called 'Salamis', was a gift from France to the King of the Joseon Dynasty in 1888...to commemorate diplomatic relations.<br />It was the first diplomatic ceramic gift from the West.<br />Lefort said that he visited the display as it is a symbol of the ties between the two countries.<br />"I'm quite impressed by all this dynamic of cultural exchanges which produces new forms, aspects, thinking in every country and culture."<br />
