태국 반정부 집회, 비상칙령•물대포에도 계속<br /><br />Anti-government protesters took to the streets of Bangkok on Sunday, defying a ban on demonstrations.<br />This comes despite the arrest of dozens of fellow protesters and the use of water cannons by the police.<br />And much of the city's subway was also shutdown to suppress the movement.<br />"They think that by arresting the protest leaders, we'd be deterred somehow. But instead we felt even more desperate, wondering how dare they treat us like this?"<br />Pro-democracy rallies have spread across Thailand in recent months, mostly among youth calling for the reform of the country's monarchy and the constitution.<br />They also call for the resignation of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who first came to power during the 2014 coup.<br />
