LG화학 3분기 실적 '사상 최대'....석유화학•배터리 성장한 덕<br /><br />South Korea's leading chemical company, LG Chem, has reported an all-time high operating profit for the third quarter.<br />The company says operating profit came to just under 785 million U.S. dollars,... an increase from the same period last year -- in the local currency -- of almost 1-hundred-60 percent.<br />It beat Wall Street estimates by 6-hundred-19 million dollars.<br />The company attributed the jump to strong sales of petrochemicals and products for electric car batteries.<br />Analysts expect profits to be up in the fourth quarter as well.<br />
