미 국무부 대만에 18억 달러 규모 무기 판매 가능성 승인<br /><br />The U.S. State Department has approved a one-point-eight billion U.S. dollar arms sale to Taiwan.<br />The Pentagon said on Wednesday the weapons include 11 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, 135 Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Response Missiles and six MS-110s.<br />Last week, Reuters reported the White House planned five separate sales of sophisticated military equipment to Taiwan worth a combined five billion dollars.<br />Washington has been encouraging Taiwan to strengthen its defensive capabilities in the face of increasingly aggressive Chinese moves toward the island.<br />
