Locusts, typical tropical grasshoppers, have migrated in vast swarms in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, causing extensive damage to crops.This year locust swarms have entered India earlier than their normal time of June and July. The locust swarms entered India from Pakistan.
