'WTO 사무총장 도전' 유명희, 유럽서 총력전…"고른 지지 확보"<br /><br />South Korea's trade minister Yoo Myung-hee continues to put all her efforts into becoming the new director-general of the World Trade Organization.<br />Seoul's trade ministry said on Saturday that Yoo made endorsement requests in Europe, including Switzerland, the U.K., and Belgium over the last ten days.<br />The ministry added that most of the countries she has contacted recently have given their backing and that Yoo has a wide range of support across the world, including Europe, Latin American, and Africa.<br />Yoo is now in the final round of voting along with her competitor Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala from Nigeria.<br />The WTO is to have the first female chief in its 25-year history.<br />The new director-general will be decided by a consensus of WTO members no later than November 7th.<br />
