폴리티코 "미 국무부, 재외공관에 유명희 지지 파악•권유 지시"<br /><br />The U.S. is reportedly supporting South Korea's candidate running for the top post at the World Trade Organization.<br />Politico reported Tuesday that the State Department has directed some of its local embassy officials to gauge whether their host country supports South Korean Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee.<br />The U.S. has reportedly directed them to gently back Yoo if they haven't yet made a commitment.<br />It added it's a clear sign the U.S. supports Yoo, but it doesn't necessarily mean it could determine the outcome.<br />The report said U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer coordinated the issue with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.<br />AFP reported this week that the EU is leaning towards the other candidate who comes from Nigeria.<br />
