신규확진 103명 다시 세자리…이태원-강남 주요 클럽들 할로윈 주말 자진 휴업<br /><br />The number of COVID-19 cases in South Korea jumped back to triple digits on Wednesday.<br />And to reduce the risk of a major outbreak stemming from Halloween celebrations, some nightclubs are shutting this weekend.<br />Kim Sung-min reports.<br />South Korea reported 103 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.<br />Of those, 96 were local transmissions and seven were from overseas.<br />There was one additional death, bringing the death toll to 4-hundred-61.<br />The domestic infections were mostly concentrated in the greater Seoul area,... which reported a combined 61 cases.<br />The region continues to see sporadic cluster infections stemming from nursing homes and healthcare facilities.<br />A golf gathering in Yongin City, Gyeonggi-do Province has led to at least 31 cases, including those coming from family members of participants.<br />Given that there were 80 participants in total, the gathering could lead to further cluster infections.<br />As for the upcoming Halloween celebrations that has put the nation's health authorities on high alert, some major clubs in Seoul have voluntarily decided to close over the coming weekend.<br />That is to prevent possible cluster infections from massive gatherings that normally occur during the holiday.<br />According to the statements, the clubs will be shut until the 3rd of November.<br />They added that the decision came voluntarily after the clubs discussed the issue with the health authorities.<br />As of Wednesday, the total COVID-19 cases in the country stand at twenty-six thousand one hundred forty-six.<br />Kim Sung-min, Arirang News<br />
