With Child Labour being illegal in India, this 14-year-old boy resorted to selling tea after his mother lost her job due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Subhan makes tea sells it in the <br />nearby areas of Bhendi Bazar, Mumbai. He sells tea to ensure that his sisters' online classes go well. Subhan's father had passed away when he was just 2 years-old. Since then, his mother was <br />the only breadwinner for the family. As per Census 2011, the total child population in India in the age group (5-14) years was 259.6 million. Of this, 10.1 million kids were working, either as ‘main worker’ or as ‘marginal worker’.
