내일부터 새로운 거리두기 시행…천안•아산 1.5단계<br /><br />Now, to the COVID-19 situation in South Korea.<br />The country will begin with its new social distancing guidelines starting from this Saturday.<br />For now, Cheonan and Asan in Chungcheongnam-do Province are the only two cities with one-point-five distancing level... while others are at level one.<br />Jang Tae-hyun with the details.<br />South Korea reported 1-hundred-45 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday,... keeping the daily tally above a hundred for the third straight day.<br />Of those, 1-hundred-17 were locally transmitted... mostly from the capital region with 28 from overseas.<br />A cluster infection at a call center in the city of Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do Province, has brought the daily caseload in that region up to 25.<br />As of Thursday, 21 people working at the call center had tested positive,... but the number rose to 30 overnight... after family members were confirmed to have contracted the virus.<br />South Korea will implement its five-level distancing measures starting from Saturday.<br />"We will maintain the distancing measures at level one, but the daily COVID-19 caseload is slowly going up. If this continues, we may have to consider strengthening the guidelines. We need your awareness and cooperation."<br />To contain the virus in Cheonan and the nearby city of Asan, health authorities have raised the distancing measures to level one-point-five.<br />South Korea reported one additional death on Friday, raising the death toll to 4-hundred-76.<br />The total number of COVID-19 cases is at 27-thousand 1-hundred-95.<br />Jang Tae-hyun, Arirang News.<br />
