Jeff Bezos Cashes out, Over $3 Billion, in Amazon Shares.<br />According to recent filings with<br />the Securities and Exchange Commission.<br />the Amazon CEO offloaded more than<br />$3 billion worth of shares this week. .<br />Bezos previously sold more than<br />$4.1 billion worth in February and <br />more than $3.1 billion worth in August. .<br />His total cash-out in 2020 is now<br />more than $10.2 billion so far. .<br />That’s a notable jump from 2019,<br />during which he only sold $2.8 billion<br />worth of Amazon shares. .<br />Bezos still owns more than 53 million shares<br />of Amazon, which are valued at nearly $170 billion.<br />Bezos has previously said that<br />he sells Amazon stock to fund<br />his rocket start-up, Blue Origin. .<br />In addition, the funds are likely going<br />toward the $10 billion Earth Fund he<br />launched in February 2020.<br />The fund issues grants to scientists,<br />activists and organizations that are <br />working to fight climate change.
