Minnesota Vikings Pay<br />Tribute to George Floyd.<br />The Minnesota Vikings stood in solidarity with the<br />social justice movement ahead of their season-opening<br />game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.<br />The team first payed tribute to George Floyd by playing<br />a video in his honor. His family was in attendance.<br />Floyd was killed by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, sparking months of protests across the country. .<br />It's absolutely tragic and senseless<br />he was killed, and we want our community<br />to change in a positive manner after<br />such a horrific act. , Andrew Miller, Vikings' Chief Operating Officer, via ‘Complex’.<br />The Vikings also chose to silence their<br />Gjallarhorn.
