Chargers’ Team Doctor Accidentally<br />Punctures QB Tyrod Taylor’s Lung.<br />Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor was forced to<br />sit out of last Sunday’s game after a stunning medical mishap.<br />According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,<br />Taylor’s lung was accidentally punctured<br />by the team doctor just before kickoff.<br />The Chargers were facing off<br />against the Kansas City Chiefs<br />in week 2 of the NFL season. .<br />The unnamed doctor was<br />reportedly trying to give<br />Taylor a pain-killing injection<br />for his cracked ribs. .<br />Taylor was incapacitated by the injury,<br />and rookie Justin Herbert was forced to<br />step up and make his NFL debut. .<br />Chargers coach Anthony Lynn has since<br />said that Taylor will be back as their starting<br />quarterback, but doctors disagree.<br />Schefter reports that Taylor has since been advised<br />to not play for an indefinite amount of time.<br />Doctors have advised Tyrod Taylor not to play<br />"indefinitely” due to his punctured lung.
