SCOTUS Allows Longer Deadlines, for Absentee Ballots, in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.<br />The two Supreme Court decisions <br />were handed down on Wednesday.<br />Election officials in both North Carolina and <br />Pennsylvania will be able to count absentee <br />ballots several days after the election.<br />Pennsylvania and North Carolina <br />are considered battleground states <br />in the 2020 presidential election.<br />Both rulings were handed down unsigned. <br />Three dissections by Justices Gorsuch, Alito <br />and Thomas were noted on the North Carolina ruling.<br />The Supreme Court's decision carries<br />added significance in Pennsylvania, .<br />where the Butler County director of elections <br />reports there have been more than 10,000 calls <br />about requested mail-in ballots that have not arrived.<br />Our focus right now is to make sure that everyone that was impacted by this gets a ballot and is able to vote, Aaron Sheasley, Butler County Director of Elections, via CNN
