The Day The Las Vegas Shooting Happened.<br />October 1, 2017.<br />64-year-old Stephen Paddock <br />opened fire on a crowd of concert-goers <br />from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of <br />the Mandalay Bay on the Las Vegas strip.<br />Targeting a crowd of thousands, <br />Paddock killed 83 people and <br />wounded more than 800.<br />Over the course of several days <br />leading up to the shooting, Paddock <br />had covertly amassed an arsenal of <br />high-powered weapons in his room.<br />Using bump-stock attachments, <br />he was able to fire off more than <br />1,100 rounds of ammunition<br />during the 10-minute attack.<br />With his hotel suite <br />surrounded by authorities, <br />Paddock died by a self-inflicted <br />gunshot wound to the head.<br />His motive remains unknown. <br />The shooting is the deadliest in U.S. history.
