트럼프, 대선 패배 이틀 만에 '눈엣가시' 국방장관 전격 경질<br /><br />U.S. President Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper in a tweet on Monday.<br />And he appointed Christopher Miller, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, as the acting Defense Secretary.<br />There had been speculation since June that Esper could be terminated for having opposing Trump over the sending of military troops to control demonstrations against police brutality.<br />With Miller being named as acting secretary it is unlikely that the president will formally name Esper's replacement before he is set to leave office in January.<br /><br />
