미일, 방위비 분담금 협상 개최…미 "서로 이로운 결과 기대"<br /><br />The U.S. and Japan have held talks in Washington over a cost-sharing agreement for Japan's hosting of American troops.<br />The U.S. State Department said Wednesday that the two-day talks marked the start of negotiations over Japan's new budget for around 55-thousand American military personnel stationed in Japan.<br />The current five-year deal expires next March.<br />While Japan pays nearly two billion U.S dollars annually, ex-national security adviser John Bolton said in June that the Trump administration has reportedly requested over eight billion instead.<br />
