당정청, 배달•택배업 등 필수노동자 대책 논의…이낙연 "지원 법제화" 홍남기 "12월 발표"<br /><br />South Korea's ruling Democratic Party, the government and the presidential office have agreed to come up with measures to support essential workers.<br />These are workers who had an excessive workload during COVID-19 crisis mainly in delivery services or medical and care centers.<br />Lawmakers aim to create a legal basis to help the workers and secure 1-point-6 billion U.S. dollars for 2021 for workers' support.<br />Finance Minister Hong Nam-ki called for systematic measures to prevent deaths from overwork.<br />He also committed to ensuring all workers in the country have employment insurance.<br />The government said it'll unveil the specifics by December.<br />
