스가 "자유롭고 열린 인도태평양"…日아세안 회의서 '중국 견제'<br /><br />Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga is seeking to strengthen cooperation with ASEAN to realize a free, open Indo-Pacific region.<br />In a virtual conference with ASEAN leaders on Thursday, Suga expressed Tokyo's readiness to support ASEAN's integration to improve the region's transportation and trade infrastructure.<br />Suga said he strongly supports ASEAN's Indo-Pacific vision,... adding they have much in common on fundamental issues.<br />ASEAN leaders also discussed international challenges like North Korea's nuclear program as well as the regime's abductions of foreign nationals.<br />
