김해신공항 운명의 날…총리실 오후 검증 결과 발표<br /><br />After four years of debate, the South Korean government is set to reveal whether it will expand Gimhae International Airport in the southeast of the country.<br />Officials will release the results of a feasibility study based on safety, noise, environmental and facility issues.<br />They are judging whether the airport is an appropriate gateway for the southern region.<br />However, as the monitoring committee from the Prime Minister's office reportedly decided the plan is not feasible, it's looking likely it'll be scrapped.<br />The Busan city government opposed the Transport Ministry's 2016 airport expansion plan, citing safety concerns regarding nearby mountains.<br />Instead, the city wants to build the airport on Busan's Gadeok Island.<br />
