Baling MP Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim caught the attention of Dewan Rakyat on Thursday, by revealing that 266 people have committed suicide since the MCO started this year. <br /><br />He said around 25% of the suicides were caused by debt problems. <br /><br />He added that this is why it's important for all lawmakers to support Budget 2021, to make sure the people's welfare can be taken care of in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.<br /><br />Abdul Azeez appeared to be referring to an article by Kosmo! on the suicide figures, which cited Bukit Aman Management Director Ramli Din.
