국가기후환경회의 "2045년까지 석탄발전 40%→0%, 경유값 인상"<br /><br />And to achieve the carbon neutral goal by 2050, South Korea plans to eliminate its use of coal-fire power by the year 2045.<br />Currently, coal accounts for about 40 percent of the country's energy use.<br />This is part of a plan proposed today by the National Council on Climate and Air Quality.<br />To get rid of coal, the overall price of electricity will be gradually raised over the next ten years in such a way that will discourage its use.<br />Also, to reduce emissions, the price of diesel fuel will be raised closer to the price of gasoline.<br />Diesel is currently cheaper but it produces more fine dust.<br />And from 2040, all new cars sold in South Korea will have to be zero-emission vehicles or plug-in hybrids.<br />
