The government will consider recommending emergency declarations for the constituencies of Gerik in Perak and Bugaya in Sabah, in order to put the by-elections there on hold and help prevent the further spread of Covid-19, said de facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan in the Dewan Rakyat today.<br /><br />Takiyuddin said the declaration would depend on the risk assessment by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Security Council (MKN).
