The government has expanded the Employee Provident Fund Account 1 withdrawals, to include those whose income have been reduced this year.<br /><br />Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said this includes for those who have experienced salary cuts, or are no longer able to generate additional income by working overtime.<br /><br />Those who are no longer active contributors, are working in informal sectors that are affected may also make withdrawals.<br /><br />Contributors who were allowed to withdraw up to RM9,000 are also allowed to withdraw up to RM10,000 now.
