The COVID-19 pandemic has set gender equality back years, reports CNN.<br />Women around the world are taking on the "lion's share" of extra domestic chores.<br />Everyone has taken on extra work throughout the pandemic, but women face a greater burden of care.<br />UN Women analyzed available data in 38 countries to collect the figures on unpaid work.<br />They found women were taking on more household tasks than men throughout the pandemic.<br />60% of women reported that they had spent more time on unpaid domestic work since the pandemic began.
