美 싱크탱크 "바이든 행정부, 한국이 인도태평양서 필수적 역할하도록 해야"<br /><br />South Korea has the potential to play a consequential role in advancing America's Indo-Pacific vision.<br />That's according to a report by the Center for a New American Security which offers advice to the incoming Biden administration to position Seoul to address geopolitical risks in Northeast Asia.<br />Arguing the new administration should find common ground between Seoul's New Southern Policy and Washington's Indo-Pacific vision, the think tank said Washington should rethink the use of its forces on the Korean Peninsula so that they can serve as more than just a land-based deterrent against North Korea.<br />The CNAS was co-founded by Michele Flournoy who is deemed a top contender for President-elect Biden's defense secretary.<br />
