Health Ministry Dr Adham Baba told parliament today that the government spent RM2.8 million to provide smoking cessation or pharmacological treatment to 9,222 smokers last year.<br /><br />He said the number showed an increase in expenditure compared to RM2 million spent in 2018 to treat 12,640 smokers.
