S. Korean gov't imposes tougher anti-dust measures

'겨울 미세먼지 잡는다' 2차 계절관리제 12월∼내년 3월 시행<br /><br />The South Korean government will impose tougher anti-pollution measures starting tomorrow, to reduce fine dust levels for the next four months.<br />Under the new measures, grade five emission vehicles, mostly old diesel cars, will be barred from the Seoul Metropolitan Area on weekdays between 6 AM and 9 PM.<br />The government will also suspend activity at two coal plants as well as cap operations at other fossil fuel plants at 80-percent.<br />The guidelines also include strengthened monitoring of construction sites and incineration plants.<br />Seoul has also vowed to strengthen cooperation with Beijing to reduce regional fine dust pollution.<br />
