외교당국 "日, 유네스코 등재된 군함도 강제징용 역사 왜곡 여전...한국과 협의 없어"<br /><br />Japan is still failing to acknowledge its subjection of Koreans to forced labor at its industrial sites during World War Two... despite a promise to do so when they were designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites in 2015.<br />That's according to diplomatic sources in Seoul.<br />They say a report Japan submitted this week to UNESCO on the ways that it's implementing the promise... shows no improvement.<br />In fact, they say the Industrial Heritage Information Center in Tokyo... displays documents aimed at showing that Koreans were not discriminated against, and it fails to honors the Korean victims.<br />UNESCO has recommended a dialogue, but Japan refuses to talk with South Korea about the issue.<br />One of the sites is the notorious Hashima Island... where a large number of Koreans were forced to work to support Imperial Japan's war machine.<br />
