The BBC's Director-General Tim Davie is dedicated to investigating the circumstances of a notorious 1996 interview with Princess Diana.<br />In it, Princess Diana spoke with journalist Martin Bashir and lifted the lid on her failed marriage with Prince Charles.<br />CNN reports Bashir has long been alleged to have used forged documents to convince the Princess to do the interview.<br />The documents suggested the palace staff were working against Princess Diana and being paid to spy on her.<br />Matt Weissler was a graphic designer for BBC at the time. He admitted to mocking up bank statements at Bashir's request.<br />Buckingham Palace was allegedly 'blindsided' by the interview. A retired senior judge will lead the BBC probe.
