U.S. Military Leaders Volunteer To Be Among The First To Receive COVID-19 Vaccine

Top U.S. military commanders will be among the first people to get the new COVID-19 vaccine.<br />The military officials will receive their inoculations publicly to encourage other service members to do the same.<br />Pentagon officials noted that leaders across military branches and commands will volunteer to take the vaccine.<br />The top leaders include acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller and Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norquist.<br />Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Mark Milley and Joint Chiefs of Staff vice chairman Gen. John Hyten will also participate.<br />Pentagon officials noted that other senior leaders will also be volunteering to take the vaccine.
