주 52시간 기업 숨통 트나…탄력근로제 단위기간 6개월로 확대<br /><br />Firms in South Korea will soon be able to adopt the flexible work hours system for a unit period of up to six months, from the current three months.<br />The revised bill was passed by the National Assembly on Wednesday, and will take about three months to come into effect.<br />The flexible work system enables adjustments to weekly working hours depending on workload.<br />Currently, employees can work overtime on certain weeks, as long as the average does not exceed the 52-hour limit per week over a three-month period.<br />The extension to six months aims to lift the burden of small and mid-sized companies, who must implement the shortened 52-hour workweek system starting January.<br />
