日, 장사정 미사일 새로 개발…적기지 공격에 활용 가능성<br /><br />Japan is reportedly planning to develop its own missiles that would give it the ability to strike overseas missile bases preemptively if it anticipates an attack.<br />Sources tell the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper... that in the next week... the Suga administration will be approving the proposal made by lawmakers with the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.<br />The plan would give Japan missile strike capabilities within five years.<br />Tokyo will also reportedly upgrade an existing ground-to-sea missile into a weapon that can fly around a hundred kilometers.<br />It's a project that will cost around 320 million U.S. dollars.<br />Although Japan claims that the plan is meant to protect it from North Korea and China, it will likely be criticized as contradicting its official pacifist policy.<br />
