According to Business Insider, Starbucks announced plans to step up its global presence in the marketplace. <br />They plan to expand from 33,000 to 55,000 stores globally by 2030.<br />Over half of its new stores will be cafes, 40% will be drive-thrus and 5% will be pickup formats.<br />A large part of Starbucks' efforts will be focused in China, where they are building 600 new locations, in 2021. <br />They are also enhancing their digital footprint online and in-stores. <br />This includes the mobile order-ahead options and making in-store contactless payments.<br />They will continue to emphasize on-the-go experiences that they've added since the pandemic, like curbside pickup, drive-thru, and mobile order-ahead, which increased at the start of COVID.
