COVID-19 restrictions tightened in China early this year, and that's led to a shortage of hideouts for criminals on the lam.<br />CNN reports a fugitive who had been on the run for four years after allegedly stealing a corpse was running out of places to hide.<br />Qiu Binhua was believed to have sold the body for a ritual, then fled to the western part of Inner Mongolia.<br />There, officers had begun trying to contain the coronavirus by scanning QR codes of passers-by and setting up checkpoints.<br />Without an ID card, police said Qui turned himself in, as he had no means of escape.
