Nestlé Recalls Nearly 100,000 Pounds of , Lean Cuisine Meals.<br />On Saturday, the United States Department<br />of Agriculture (USDA) announced that Nestlé<br />had issued a nationwide recall.<br />The recall is specifically for nearly 100,000 pounds<br />of Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken meals. .<br />They all have the lot code 0246595911 and<br />a "Best Before" date of October 2021. .<br />According to the USDA’s Food Safety<br />and Inspection Service (FSIS), “foreign matter” contaminants<br />have been found in some packages. .<br />They’ve reportedly received five<br />complaints from people who found<br />hard white plastic shards in their food. .<br />Nestlé believes that the pieces in the<br />mashed potatoes are from “a plastic conveyor<br />belt that broke during production.”.<br />The USDA assured in their<br />announcement that nobody has been<br />injured because of the “foreign matter.”
