EU-영국, 막판 무역협상 계속…어업 두고 이견<br /><br />In less than two weeks, Britain will leave the EU single market and its trading rules.<br />The deadline for a post-Brexit-trade deal is looming, but the two sides still remain at odds over the key issue of fisheries.<br />For more on this and other news from around the world, we turn to our Lee Kyung-eun.<br />Kyung-eun, what's the latest?<br />Mok-yeon, the EU and UK still remain divided,... over the bloc's fishing rights over British waters.<br />The UK is insisting that it have full control over its own waters as a sovereign country.<br />And that it retain a much larger share of catch....than it does under the current quota system.<br />One EU official has reportedly said that's "totally unacceptable".<br />The bloc is asking for significant access for their large fishing industries.<br />And,... the EU is giving a final push,... before the deadline.<br />"... We are really in a crucial moment and we are giving it a final push. In ten days the UK will leave the single market and I will continue to work in total transparency with the member states, right now, and with the parliament..."<br />If there's "no deal" by the December 31st deadline, the two sides will go back to border checks and taxes under World Trade Organization rules.<br />Many worry that could potentially disrupt regional financial markets and global supply chains.<br /><br />
