영국-EU 미래관계 협상,.. 연말 전 합의 관측도<br /><br />In just about a week's time, Britian will complete its departure from the EU.<br />And hopes are rising that the much-delayed post-Brexit trade talks could see a breakthrough before the deadline.<br />For more on this and other news from around the world, we turn to our Lee Kyung-eun.<br />Kyung-eun, what's the latest?<br />Mok-yeon, UK trade negotiator David Frost arrived in Brussels on Wednesday,... as the UK and EU continue their last-minute efforts to strike a trade deal.<br />They are giving a final push to settle the issue over EU fishing quotas in British waters,... which has been a major obstacle in the negotiations.<br />The BBC is cautiously raising hopes of a deal.<br />It reported that it is "very likely",.... the two sides were "heading towards" an agreement.<br />But it added,.. that nothing is signed,...with "haggling" still going on.<br />Along with fisheries, fair competition rules remain the key hurdles to reaching a deal.<br />The two sides have until the end of the month to reach a breakthrough.<br />If it does not happen by then,... they will bring back taxes, which could potentially disrupt market prices.<br />
