This video was created to help you learn this useful and interesting exercise by yourself. It would be good to learn the whole sequence of 24 forms. But if your time is limited, it is OK to learn just a few forms that you find suitable and repeat them several times. For examples forms 1 & 2 or 7 & 8. The main thing is you feel relaxed, and focus on the movement of your hands and feet. When you do so, your mind would be empty of thoughts. Even if it happens for just a moment, it is an important step in meditation, to bring you mental benefits, in addition to the physical benefits of the exercise. <br /> <br />According to the research “Seniors’ Falls in Canada: Second Report” published by Public Health Agency of Canada on April 10, 2014 (Source: http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/seniors-ai...), "Falls remain the leading cause of injury-related hospitalizations among Canadian seniors, and between 20% and 30% of seniors fall each year. <br /> <br />The purpose of this video on walking cane exercise is to encourage seniors to use walking cane to prevent falls that could have happened otherwise. The slow Tai Chi movement is suitable to seniors and can contribute to strengthening their muscles. Each time, pay attention to the movement of only one part of the body: right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg, head and body. Then combine these movements together at the same time.
