Pokémon-themed airplanes are appearing in the skies over Japan.<br /><br />Solaseed Airlines, based on the Japanese island of Kyushu, debuted a Pokémon-painted plane on December 19. <br /><br />According to CNN, the new themed craft made its maiden flight from Miyazaki City to Tokyo's Haneda airport.<br /><br />The plane is part of a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and various regions of Japan. <br /><br />There are currently eight prefectures involved in the collaboration between POkemon and the tourism board. <br /><br />Each prefecture is assigned a dedicated Pokémon character of its own.
