외교부, 역내 코로나 대응 '동북아 방역•보건 협력체' 실무회의 첫 개최...北은 불참<br /><br />Health experts and diplomats from Northeast Asia and the U.S. have gathered online to discuss the battle against COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.<br />Seoul's foreign ministry said it held a meeting on Tuesday to prepare for the launch of the 'Northeast Asia Cooperation Initiative for Infectious Disease Control and Public Health',... which was proposed by South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the UN General Assembly in September.<br />Diplomats and health experts from South Korea, the U.S., China, Japan, Russia and Mongolia took part in the meeting.<br />South Korean foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha said in the welcoming remarks that she hopes that North Korea will also join the initiative in the near future.<br /><br />
