영국, 아스트라제네카 백신 긴급사용 승인<br /><br />In a major step in the global battle against the pandemic... the COVID-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca has been approved for emergency use in the UK.<br />The vaccine received its first ever approval after the UK government accepted the recommendation from the country's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.<br />The UK has ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine enough to inoculate up to 50 million people.<br />The shot is expected to be rolled out next week and the bio-giant aims to meet the supply by the first quarter.<br />AstraZeneca expects the vaccine to still be effective against the new, more contagious COVID-19 variant.<br />South Korea signed a contract for the AstraZeneca shot last month, securing enough for 10 million people.<br />Those doses are expected to arrive around February.<br />
