일주일 평균 코로나 확진자 1,000명 넘어서<br /><br />South Korea recorded 1-thousand-50 new coronavirus cases and 20 additional deaths on Wednesday.<br />Fast spread of the virus has resulted in an average of more than one-thousand new cases per day for the last week.<br />The recent uptick has been attributed to cluster infections at hospitals and facilities for the elderly... as well as the outbreak at a detention center in Seoul... where nearly 8-hundred cases have been reported so far.<br />The capital area continues to see the most cases.... recording an average of more than 3-hundred cases per day for the last week.<br />Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun today highlighted the need to be thoroughly prepared as another spike in cases is possible due to year-end gatherings.<br />The government is currently mulling whether to implement the toughest social distancing measures for the capital region before the extended deadline of January 3rd.<br />
