김정은, 올해도 신년사 생략…친필 연하장만 공개<br /><br />North Korean leader Kim Jong-un expressed New Year's greetings to his people in a handwritten letter instead of the usual trademark address.<br />The regime's state-run media reported on Friday that through the letter he vowed to work hard to introduce a new era in which the ideals and desires of the people will come true.<br />It's the first time in twenty-six years that a North Korean leader has sent New Year Day's greetings to his people.<br />Observers note he could have skipped this year's address to distract from announcements to be made at the 8th ruling Workers' Party Congress in January.<br />The event will cover Kim's new five-year economic development plan and possibly a message to the incoming Biden administration.<br />
