Marines serving with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion train for the first time with the M107 Special Application Scoped Rifle, a .50 caliber sniper rifle. The light armored reconnaissance Marines were instructed by scout sniper instructors from Division Schools, 1st Marine Division. <br /><br />The weeklong course began with classroom instructions and ultimately ended with a three-day live fire range where the Marines qualified with the rifle.
