Ian McKellen Says He Is ‘So Happy’<br />Elliot Page Came out as Transgender.<br />In a recent interview with ‘Attitude Magazine,’ Ian McKellen<br />offered his support and praise to 'X-Men' co-star Elliot Page.<br />Page, who recently came out as transgender,<br />worked alongside McKellen in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’<br />and ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’.<br />During the interview, McKellen described how Page’s<br />mannerisms on set changed over the years.<br />I remember Elliot Page, in one of the<br />‘X-Men’ ... Nobody could hear what<br />they were saying ... And then they<br />came out [as gay] years later and<br />suddenly you couldn’t stop them<br />talking. You heard everything, Ian McKellen, to 'Attitude Magazine'.<br />McKellen then expressed disappointment in himself for<br />not realizing that Page was struggling with his identity. .<br />And I’m so happy for Elliot.
