<p>Award-winning author Elizabeth Rose Murray, 43, came across the startling scene as she looked for inspiration while walking near her home.<br><br>A crack of running water at the base of the frozen puddle had, combined with the warmer temperature of the ground, caused the ice to melt from underneath.<br><br>The weird, but wonderful phenomenon, gave the impression of creatures moving below the water's surface as Elizabeth captured it on film.</p>
